Q1. At what age did you start learning the violin? 4 years old
Q2. Was violin your choice of instrument to learn? It was offered by a local music school
Q3. Tell us a little about your recent performing experience. I wasn’t that nervous as my best friend was there to give me support.
Q4. What do you do when you get nervous before going on a stage? I just walk up to the stage and play the violin.
Q5. How do you manage your academic work along with violin practice? I work on Kumon and Violin after dinner everyday. I reserve the school homework for the weekend.
Q6. Who is your favourite composer? J.S Bach
Q7. Do you have a favourite violinist? I can’t remember the name of her/him….
Q8. What have you learned in Aureus Academy? Ms Alice placed stickers on my violin bridge and it improved my intonation a lot. My reading got better and I became a less nervous performer.
Q9. What are the cons/pros of being a violinist? Good thing about playing the violin is that I can perform in concerts with my best friend. Not so good thing about being the violinist is that it bangs against my knee when I carry it.
Q10. Do you have a short/long term goal(s) for your musical journey? I’d like to get better at my F major scale and I would like to perform with my sister, Isabel and my brother, Seb in future.
