Charlene is an active piano teacher and accompanist in Hong Kong. She has been giving music lessons since 2013. She completed her Master’s in the UK and Bachelor’s in Hong Kong. At Royal Holloway, she studied piano with British-French pianist Helen Leek. She also benefitted from the musical direction of Irish pianist Dr Mary Dullea. During her studies in Hong Kong, she studied under Mr Alan Chu, Principle Keyboard of Hong Kong Sinfonietta. As an active musician, Charlene had collaborated with Portuguese composer Miguel Diniz and Italian Composer Gianluca; Angelo, recorded their piano trios at the Abbey Road Studio. She plays with sensitivity and passion in a wide range of styles and genres, including virtuosic solo works. She is also an avid enthusiast, and occasional performer, of new music works. She currently serves on the faculty of Aureus Academy as a Piano and Music Exploration Teacher and Accompanist.
